A cross country and track standout in her Goshen College career, Melissa Gillette returned to the Maple Leafs in 2008 and will start her fourth season as an assistant coach in 2011.
Gillette qualified for the NAIA Cross Country National Championships in 2003. In that same year, she qualified for the NAIA Track and Field National Championships in the steeplechase. She also boasts a pair of NAIA All American honors in the marathon after a sixth place finish in 2004 and a third-place finish in 2005.
Gillette is currently in a PhD program at the University of Notre Dame. She has been married to husband, Justin, for four years and they have a son, Myles.
