Mike played for coach Randy Small at Schoolcraft HS.  He went on to play two years at Kalamazoo Valley Community College where he was named to the MJCAA all-state team.

PERSONAL:
Mike's Parents are Fred and Kathy Betcher, and he has two brothers: Fred (29) and Nick (25) … He admires his father for being full of wisdom and love, and is thankful for all the time his father has put in shaping who Mike is today … His best athletic moment was beating Kalamazoo Christian in the District Finals in high school … A little-known fact about him is that he likes to be punctual … He chose Goshen so he could play basketball with friends and get a good education at the same time.
