Sports Medicine By The Numbers: 2010-14
Goal: to provide a link between the athletic program and the medical community for the implementation of injury prevention, emergency care and rehabilitation procedures.
No one healthcare professional has sufficient knowledge to handle all needs that arise, it takes a team approach. At Goshen College this team includes a state licensed, NATABOC certified athletic trainer, team physician, nurse practitioner and nursing staff, a network of orthopedic surgeons, family practitioners, sports psychologist and a student athletic training staff. Goshen College is fortunate to be located across the street from Goshen General Hospital and is located close to several medical professional practices.
