FEB. 13 — Winter Storm Postpones Tuesday's MCC Basketball

Goshen vs. Huntington to take place Wednesday evening due to blizzard

Goshen, IN — Mid-Central Conference officials, in conjunction with its member institutions, announced the postponement of all men’s basketball games scheduled to take place Tuesday evening.

The announcement came during the noon hour Tuesday, as a snow storm continues to wreak havoc on the entire Midwest.

The Goshen College men’s basketball game with eighth-ranked Huntington University was among the four games postponed from Tuesday night. A make-up date of Wednesday, Feb. 14 has been tentatively set.

“With this weather we’re having, safety is our ultimate concern,” said Ken Pletcher, Goshen College athletic director. “Obviously, when most of the state of Indiana is under a blizzard warning, we’re going to do our part to stay off the roads and let state and government officials work.”

Nearly all of Indiana — including Huntington County — is under a Blizzard Warning until 7 a.m. EST Wednesday. Elkhart County remains under a Winter Storm Warning until that time. Snowfall totals of up to 16 inches are forecast for parts of central and northeastern Indiana, with winds of up to 45 miles per hour possible. For the latest on Goshen weather, click here.
