INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - It was a long night and a tough start for the Goshen College women's soccer team as they lost 3-0 to host Marian University late Tuesday night.

It took less than a minute for the Knights to get on the board as Samantha Cook opened the scoreline.  Despite being out shot 9-1 in the opening half, the Leafs were able to hold the deficit at just one into the halftime break.

Marian would go on and score insurance tallies in the 58th and 74th minutes to improve to 8-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Mid-Central College Conference.

A late 7:30 p.m. start was even later for the Leafs who had a three-hour trip back to Goshen after dropping their seventh straight.

The Maple Leafs (4-10, 0-5 MCC) return to action on Saturday when they host the University of Saint Francis.
