GOSHEN, Ind. — Taliah Borom scored her third goal in four days and the Goshen College women's soccer team moved above .500 for the first time this season with a 3-0 win over Calumet College of St. Joseph at the John Ingold Athletic Complex on Wednesday.

Borom's goal, off the underside of the crossbar in the 19th minute, opened the floodgates as the Maple Leafs (2-1-1) would score three times in less than 20 minutes on an unseasonably cool evening.

Caitlin Hughey added her first career goal with 21:22 left in the half when Londyn Feasel's shot was saved but the rebound bounced free in front of the goal mouth. Makena Zimmerman rounded out the scoring by lobbing a shot over the keeper with 6:30 to play in the stanza.

Calumet (0-2-1) would take the next four shots after going down 3-0, but could muster only three more over the final 35 minutes.

Borom and Feasel were the only Goshen players to take multiple shots, with the former attempting three and the latter two. Each player put two attempts on target. Alex Clemente and Fatima Garcia led the Crimson Wave with three shots each.

The Maple Leafs used 23 players at some point in the contest, including all three goalkeepers: Katie Baer made two saves in the first 67 minutes before giving way to Kadie Spoor and Kassandra Rodriguez in turn.

Goshen finished with a 15-11 edge in shots and five of the match's six corners. The Maple Leafs also committed eight fouls.

Goshen plays host to Indiana University East on Saturday to cap a three-match homestand. The Maple Leafs and Red Wolves kick off at 4 p.m.
