GOSHEN, Ind — The Indiana Wesleyan University women's tennis team continued its Crossroads League dominance in a 9-0 victory over Goshen this Tuesday evening at the Goshen College Tennis Complex.

The Wildcats (3-0, 3-0 CL) are no stranger to success in the league, as they currently lay claim to the top spot in the conference and have won or shared 24 of the past 25 conference championships. The loss sends the Goshen women to 0-3 on the season with all three losses in conference play.

Chloe Woodward and Megan Ewing took one game in no. 1 doubles action but were defeated 8-1. Woodward also tallied a game in the first set of her no. 1 singles match but fell 6-1, 6-0. Woodward's victory in the first set was her first of the season at no. 1 singles.

"Our ladies showed great effort and I was really pleased with our doubles play. We held our own and played with confidence," said Goshen director of tennis Evan Atkinson. "It will take us some time to feel more confident in our singles play but we learn from each and every match."

The IWU women rounded out their scoring with 6-0, 6-0 wins in their remaining singles matches and 8-0 victories in doubles. The visitors used eight players in the match with entirely different lineups playing singles and doubles.

The Goshen women will travel with the GC men Thursday to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to take on Concordia University. The non-conference matchup is slated to begin at 12 p.m.
