GOSHEN, Ind. – For the third time this year, the Springer Design Maple Leaf Athlete of the Week is being split between two student-athletes. Junior Jerron Jamerson and senior Paige Davis are Co-Athletes of the Week after helping their respective teams to their first Crossroads League victories of the season during the week of February 3-9.
The leading scorer for the Maple Leafs men's basketball team (15.7 a game), Jamerson scored a game-high 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting in a 66-61 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene University Tuesday night. He added 14 points in a loss against Spring Arbor on Saturday.
Davis had a career game on Saturday, tallying 20 points on five 3-pointers. She also had three assists, two steals, and a blocked shot as Goshen defeated Spring Arbor 78-69. She also posted a team-high eight points during a midweek road loss to Mount Vernon.
