GOSHEN, Ind. – For the second time, the Springer Design Maple Leaf Athlete of the Week goes to a freshman women's basketball player. This time, the recognition goes to Liz Tecca (Parchment, Mich.) for her play the past two weeks (January 20- February 2).
In four contest, the guard averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and three assists a game. She shot a sparkling 56.5% from 3-point territory (13-of-23) and 53.5% from the field overall. The week also included a career high 24 points in a loss to Grace College on Saturday.
On the year, Tecca is averaging 8.9 points and 3.1 rebounds a game. She leads the team with 47 assists and 39 3-pointers made.
