GAME NOTES: Men | Women

GOSHEN, Ind. – The Goshen College men's and women's basketball teams continue Crossroads League play with match ups against Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Spring Arbor University this week. 

The men will play their first weeknight home game in more than a month when they host Mount Vernon Nazarene Tuesday night at 7 p.m.   The women make the corresponding trip to Ohio to face the Cougars Wednesday night.  Both teams will face off against Spring Arbor on Saturday with the women playing at home and the men heading to Michigan.

3-POINT SHOT (MEN): Goshen has relied heavily on the 3-point shot, hitting an average of almost eight a game in their victories, up from a little over six and a half overall. They have three players with more than 40 3-pointers (Tavo Parral 41, Stefon Luckey 43, Matthew Martin 45) and five with 10-plus.

TECCA'S OUTBURST (WOMEN): Freshman Liz Tecca has broken out the last two weeks, averaging 16.5 points a game over her last four. She has hit 57% (13-of-23) from 3-point territory, hitting at least two 3s in each game. She also dished out 12 assists (3 per game) during the span, which including a career high 24 points against Grace on Saturday.

FREE THROW LINE (MEN): Goshen has hit at least 10 free throws in 20 of their 25 games, including four staight. They rank #46 in the NAIA DII in free throw percentage at .697 and have shot below 60% in just four games.
