Goshen To Host Food Drive, Coaches Vs. Cancer Games This Week
Leafs - Tue, Jan. 22, 2013

GOSHEN, Ind. – The Goshen College Athletics Department will hold a pair of community outreach events in coordination with Maple Leaf basketball contests this week.

As part of the women's basketball game against Bethel College Wednesday night, Goshen will be hosting a food drive.  Free admission to the 7:00 p.m. tip against the Pilots will be given for any food donation.  The goal is to help local food pantry, The Window, restock their shelves.

On Saturday, the Maple Leafs will be joining with programs across the country in the "Coaches vs. Cancer" game.  Coaches will wear their normal suit and tie, but will don sneakers as a sign of unity to raise awareness about the fight against cancer and specifically the importance of nutrition and physical activity in reducing the risk.

All gate proceeds from Saturday's 3:00 p.m. tip against the University of Saint Francis will go to the American Cancer Society.
