GOSHEN, Ind. – The Springer Design Maple Leaf Athlete of the Week returns for the first time in more than a month with freshman women's basketball player Jo'Mani Thomas earning the honor. The recognition comes for her play the past two weeks (January 1-13).
In five contests, the forward from Fort Wayne scored 82 points (16.4 per game) and grabbed 44 rebounds (8.8 a game). She scored at least 10 points and grabbed at least six rebounds in all five contests over the span and has a streak of seven straight games with those numbers overall.
Thomas scored 23 points in a loss to Grace, the second biggest tally of her career and then registered her first career double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds against Huntington.
