GOSHEN, Ind. – For the second time this season, sophomore volleyball player Jaime Stack has been named Springer Design Maple Leaf Athlete of the Week. Her most recent recognition comes on the heels of play between October 21-27.
The 5-foot-6 outside hitter finished the week with 58 kills (2.8 per set) and 89 digs (4.24 per set). She posted three-straight double-doubles and was one kill short in two matches from have a double-double in all five matches she played.
At the Cornerstone University Tournament Friday and Saturday, the sophomore tallied 49 kills and 74 digs on way to being named Second Team All Tournament. She had 13 kills and 26 digs in a win over Rochester College and 14 kills and 19 digs in a victory over Lawrence Tech.
Also over the weekend, Stack became the first Maple Leaf since Peni Acayo ('10) to have more than 500 kills (532) and digs (607) in a career. This season, she ranks seventh in the Crossroads League in kills (321) and 11th in digs (385).
