GOSHEN, Ind. – One of the top players in Goshen College men's tennis program history, senior Csaba Laszlo (Sopron, Hungary) has been recognized as Goshen's first-ever All-Crossroads League selection.
It is Laszlo's third-straight all conference selection overall with the first two falling under the former name of the Mid-Central College Conference.
The senior racked up a 12-4 mark at the top of the Maple Leafs singles lineup in 2012. The 12 wins tie him for sixth all-time at Goshen during a single season for the position. He also holds the top mark in the category having rattled off a perfect 16-0 season in 2010-11.
During his three-year stint as a Maple Leaf, he has totaled 39 singles victories (tied for seventh all-time) and 29 doubles wins (11th all-time). His 68 total wins ranks him ninth in the 55-year history of the Goshen College men's tennis program.
Also on the 2012 All-Crossroads League Team were Michael Blevins, Daniel Sanchez, and Nikola Todorovic of Grace, Aaron Mayes, Thomas Calderone, and David Darling of Spring Arbor, Jason Denton of Marian, Brandon Dubuque, Kyle Johnson, and Leonard Mathews of Indiana Wesleyan and Vladislav Khudziy of Huntington.
The Maple Leafs finished the year 5-7 overall and 3-5 in Crossroads League play, falling to Marian 5-3 in the tournament quarterfinals.
