GOSHEN, Ind. – The Goshen College women's tennis team took a break from Crossroads League play to host NCAA DII Saint Joseph's College on Sunday.
After being swept by a 9-0 count, the Maple Leafs continue their search for their first team victory of the season.
The best match of the afternoon came in the No. 1 singles spot where sophomore Anika Baumgartner continues to play strong tennis despite losing to Katee Sanderson 7-5, 6-2.
"Anika played a great match," said fourth-year head coach Doug Gossman. "She was ahead 5-4 in the first set and the second set was closer than the score looks. She played some of her best tennis of the year."
The Maple Leafs (0-9) conclude Crossroads League play when they host Bethel College at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
