GOSHEN, Ind. – The first Maple Leaf Athlete of the Week of the 2012-13 season goes to men's soccer player Caleb Longenecker (Grayslake, Ill.).  His honor comes on the heels of action taking place between August 27 and September 2.

The sophomore started the week and the season by assisting on the Maple Leafs only goal, a loss to Siena Heights on Wednesday.

Longenecker's biggest game, though, came on Saturday.  He assisted on Goshen's second goal and then clinched the Leafs first victory of the year with a dramatic 87th minute game-winner.  It was his first goal of the season and fourth of his career.
