INJURIES - Just four of the 16 Maple Leafs competed in all seven of Goshen's races in 2011 leaving them short-handed in almost every event.

HOKUM TITLE (9/3) - Led by Jenica Corbett and Leah Thill (39:22), the Maple Leafs took first, third, and sixth place to edge out Trine University by one point for the team title at the annual Goshen Hokum Karem. Read More
TEAM PERFORMANCE AT STACKED EVENT (10/8) - The top seven for Goshen all finished within 1:37 of each other at Bethel, an event featuring six teams who appeared in the NAIA National Rankings. Read More
TAKING ON THE 6K (10/17) - Running a six-kilometer race for the first time this season, the Leafs placed fifth at the Manchester College Invitational. Corbett took the top spot for Goshen for the fourth time in five events. Read More
AT THEIR BEST (11/5) - Five Maple Leafs ran career bests and two more posted their best marks of the season as Goshen took fifth place in the MCC Championships. Freshman Ali Hochstetler led the way with the only sub-20 minute time (19:58.6). Read More
BY THE NUMBERS:
TOP SPOT - A pair of underclassmen shared the top spot for the Leafs. Sophomore Jenica Corbett was the top finisher in four of Goshen's events (teamed with Leah Thill in the Hokum Karem), while freshman Ali Hochstetler took the lead in the other three.
THE GAP - In all seven events, the Maple Leafs top three competitors finished within one minute of each other. In three of the seven, the top five were all within a minute and in six of seven the top seven were within 2:05 creating a nice pack.
RETURNING - The Maple Leafs lose just two seniors to graduation from the 2011 squad: Leah Thill and Sarah Rutt. Thill was in Goshen's top seven in all seven races, including joining Corbett for the title at the Goshen Hokum Karem.
ALL-TIME - The Maple Leafs have had four NAIA All Americans, 21 All District 21/ Region VIII honorees and 27 All MCC Selections.
