GOSHEN, Ind. – After spending the last two polls just outside the national rankings (receiving votes), the Goshen College men's basketball team jumped back into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics DII National Poll at #21, the national office announced Monday night.

The Maple Leafs (15-7) received 111 votes to move into the ranking for the first time in the 2012 calendar year.  They last appeared in the Top 25 in the December 12, 2011 at a program high #12.

Despite some recent inconsistencies, Goshen remains tied for third place in the Mid-Central College Conference, one of the NAIA DII's premier leagues.  They have also played 11 games against teams either in or receiving votes in national polls (NAIA DII, NAIA DI, and NCAA DII) at the time of the contest.

The Maple Leafs have particularly excelled at home, where they sport an 8-1 mark and have defeated four nationally recognized programs.

They will be back in action at Gunden Gymnasium tomorrow night when they host MCC rival Bethel College.  Tip off for the men's portion of the women's/ men's double header is slated for 7:30 p.m.
