2011 Coaching Staff
Head Coach Thavisak Mounsithiraj
Sporting a career mark of 101-81-20 (38-32-7 MCC), Thavisak "Tavi" Mounsithiraj begins his 11th season at the helm of the Maple Leafs in 2011.
A three-year starting midfielder for Goshen College (1991-94), Mounsithiraj transferred to Goshen after leading Hesston College to the NJCAA Region V Championship Game. A 1986 graduate of Centreville High School (Centreville, Mich.), Mounsithiraj earned a total of 16 varsity letters in football, basketball, and track.
Having received a BA from Goshen College in Interdisciplinary Studies, Mounsithiraj continues to play soccer with the Elkhart Soccer Club. The amateur club has won five Indiana State Championships. He also serves as the director of the Goshen Youth Soccer Organization and the Goshen Soccer Federation (adult soccer league).
Mounsithiraj has coached various youth and travel teams for more than 15 years and has instructed at both the Goshen College Soccer Camp and the University of Notre Dame Soccer Camps since 1996.
Tavi is married to his wife, Anita, who is a seventh grade science teacher at Heritage Middle School. The couple has one son, Dteban, who was born in April of 2008.
Goshen and soccer run in Mounsithiraj's family. He has a total of four brothers and one sister. Three of them coach soccer in the Goshen area, brother "T" is the women's coach at Goshen College, while brother Viratham "Coach V" is the boys coach at Goshen High School.
