ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The official website of Goshen College Athletics, www.GoLeafs.net, was voted the best outsourced website in the nation as announced at the annual National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics - Sports Information Directors Association (NAIA-SIDA) national convention this weekend.
"Just to be included on this list with these high-quality institutions is a tremendous honor for our college and athletic department, as well as personally," said Josh Gleason, Sports Information Director and Website Manager. "We strive to make GoLeafs.net a venue to communicate the story of our incredible student-athletes on and off the court/ field. Our website is a reflection of our administration, staff, coaches, student-athletes, and fans' contribution to Goshen Athletics and on behalf of our department, I thank them for the countless hours they have put in to make our site successful."
Led by Gleason, GoLeafs.net received a major redesign and structural overhaul this winter partnering with SIDHelp, an Alabama-based athletic website content management system. The site is the one-stop location for all 15 Maple Leaf athletic programs with an increased focus on photography, video, and fan interaction.
Just six months after the site redesign, GoLeafs.net was selected as the NAIA's Top Outsourced Website. Others recognized in the Top 10 were Mid-Central College Conference institutions University of Saint Francis and Taylor University. Also included on the list were Corban University (Ore.), Davenport University (Mich.), Concordia University (Ore.), Eastern Oregon University, Judson University (Ill.), Northwest Christian University (Ore.), and Texas Wesleyan University.
"I am so thankful for the work of countless individuals who have contributed to the success of our website," Gleason continued. "I look forward to continuing to be a part of a team of talented individuals who continues to look for ways to improve and best serve our institution, student-athletes, and fans."
